So much has already happened in these first few weeks of the term. We had a great Key Parent Function last week. Thank you to the parents who attended. Many parents found the talks informative, with many take-home messages.
The 40th anniversary gala dinner was a huge success. Thanks to the wonderful efforts of our Redfield parents committee that made this night possible. The venue, the music, the speeches, the friendships and conversations were enjoyed by all. It was great to see many old and new faces there amongst the crowd. It was a chance to realise that we stand on the shoulders of great people that have made many sacrifices for us. This is something that we must continue to show gratitude for.

Mothers Day
very special. Mum’s contribution is unique on many levels. Pope Francis once spoke about women’s superior ability to respond with Faith; i.e. it was women who were the first to believe in the resurrection of Christ:
“This is the mission of mothers, to give witness to their children and grandchildren that Christ is Risen! Mothers go forward with this witness!" Women have had, and still have, a special role in opening doors to the Lord, in following him and communicating his face, because
the eyes of faith always need the simple and profound look of love.
The Month of May
is when we venerate Our Lady, with all our students making their annual May pilgrimage to a shrine dedicated to Mary. Last week our students attended many different shrines honoring Our Lady.
There are many intentions to keep in mind in this month of Our Mother Mary. The Fatima visionary Sister Lucia once said that
“there is no problem so great that cannot be overcome by praying the Rosary”
. Let us go to Our Mother a lot this month and support the other families in the school with our prayers.
Rock night is fast approaching and the only distraction from this is the exams in a few weeks after that. Recently we spoke about being prepared. The best preparation starts today - remember to invest time to be orderly.
